Sugar and Salt are products which will never go out of fashion and are present in most foods. Simple sugars are called monosaccharides and include glucose (also known as dextrose), fructose, and galactose while “table sugar” or “granulated sugar” most customarily used as food is sucrose, a disaccharide of glucose and fructose. Salt is used in many cuisines around the world and can be fortified, refined or unrefined. Sugar and salt products include grape sugar, fruit sugar, kitchen salt, kosher salt, bay salt and Himalayan salt.
Types of Machines used:
Depending on your product and the quantity you wish to package, vertical machines as well as stick or doypack machines are considered best option for sugar and salt. Especially for salt which is corrosive, AISI 316 inox must be used in a machine’s construction.
Package type used:
Pillow bags, flat-bottomed bags, sachet and stick bags are most commonly used for salt and sugar, depending on the amount packaged, while bags with sealed-edges and doypack bags are also used for larger amounts.
